Our Story

Indian jewellery has a rich history that dates back thousands of years and is deeply intertwined with the country's diverse cultural identities. The art of jewellery-making in India has been passed down through generations, and the craftsmanship and designs have evolved over time while maintaining a distinct Indian aesthetic.
At amānī we embrace and preserve this rich art and heritage of India. Our team comprises fifth-generation artisans who, over the centuries, have mastered various traditional techniques like Filigree, Kundan, Meenakari, Jadau and Thewa that involve intricate metalwork, enamel, and gemstone setting.
Be it the intricate and delicate filigree work of Odisha, the
temple jewellery of South India, the Kundan and Meenakari work of Rajasthan, the tribal jewellery of Gujarat and Maharashtra, and the exquisite gold and silver designs of Kerala, our artisans excel in all the techniques that contribute to the diverse jewellery heritage of India.
Every product is meticulously handcrafted in our ateliers over several hours of high-skilled labour that involves embedding uncut diamonds, precious gemstones, and enamel work into gold, creating intricate and vibrant designs which are highly valued for their artistry.
Each exquisite piece of jewellery at amānī has a strong association with royal patronage and is inspired by the elaborate designs that have been adorned by kings, queens, and nobility throughout history such as the Mughals, Rajputs, and Nizams, who were known for their extravagant jewellery collections.
Indian jewellery has evolved with changing times, adapting to new styles and influences. We, however, endeavour to preserve the cultural essence of our traditional and heritage jewellery blending traditional craftsmanship with modern designs to cater to diverse tastes.
Our team, wholeheartedly, welcomes you to our family and hope that every piece of our art that connects you with us becomes an heirloom bringing joy and good luck!
